The First Eight-Place Chairlift in the Midwest.
Follow along as we construct the first eight-place chairlift in the midwest at Boyne Mountain Resort. Replacing Disciples I and II, Disciples 8 lift is sure to transform access at a super high speed. Installation is officially in progress!
Disciples 8, or D8 is an eight-person D-Line Doppelmayr chairlift featuring new Doppelmayr Direct Drive (DDD) technology, a gearless drive allows whisper-quiet operation and low maintenance while also increasing efficiency. The D-Line is one of the most technologically advanced chairlifts in the country holding 205 new developments, including 31 innovations and 14 patents.
This high-speed chairlift also features a 3.16 minute ride time, automatic safety bars, and raisable loading carpet for young skiers and riders.
Disciples 8 construction is between Disciples I and II base areas with anticipation to open for the 2022/23 season.

All chairs are installed, and load testing is now underway for Disciples 8. The lower terminal house is near completion with final exterior touches wrapping up as we speak. As temperatures drop this week, our snowmaking team is actively expanding their operations to the Disciples area to help us dial in our opening date. Stay tuned for our BIG opening announcement!
