Hit The Trail!

It's a Tuesday, you just got home from work, you have at-least four more hours of daylight, and you're thinking of all the possible ways you and your furry friend could spend your evening.

You're vacationing with your family, here for a long weekend, and making plans for your Friday. It's supposed to be warm, sunny, and breezy - perfect ice cream and biking weather if you ask me.

You're spending time with the girlfriends, escaping from the kids and husband for a quick minute, and you're just dying to try out your new hot pink roller blades.

What was once the route of the Boyne City, Gaylord, and Alpena Railroad is now a 6.2 mile paved multi-use trail that connects Boyne City and Boyne Falls. My friend and I spent an evening biking the Boyne Valley Trailway this week and got 12 more miles under our wheels. We started at Boyne Mountain and headed all the way into Boyne City, made a stop at the store for a sweet tea and ginger ale, and rode back to Boyne Mountain. It's an awesome trail to run, walk, bike, skate, and XC-ski in the winter. Take the trail into Boyne City and check out some cute shops, hammock in the Veterans Memorial Park, grab some lunch and ice cream, and enjoy yourself! Or vice-versa, head towards Boyne Falls and take advantage of lots of summer activities, shopping, and dining opportunities at Boyne Mountain. It just so happens there's a Kilwins on both ends of the trail. ðŸ˜‰

Don't have a bike? Boyne Mountain's Adventure Center rents mountain bikes, fat tire bikes, and electric Pedegos! Keep in mind, they currently operate on a first come, first serve basis. Check out more details here.
