Get Ready to Ski!
Boyne Mountain Resort in northern Michigan today announced plans to open its slopes for the 20/21 winter season on Wednesday, December 16. In an effort to properly space eager skiers and snowboarders and roll out the best possible start to the season, the resort is first opening to season passholders, Ikon passholders, and resort lodging guests. Daily lift ticket holders can begin accessing the slopes on Saturday, December 19.
The resort is limiting the number of lift tickets available this season, and it is highly recommended to buy online in advance to ensure availability on peak dates, including Saturdays and holidays.
For its opening, Boyne Mountain is anticipating at least three runs and two lifts with additional terrain possible. Slope hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended night skiing hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., beginning on December 26.
“Opening day of ski season is a date we always look forward to, and this year it feels even more special to be welcoming our friends back to the slopes,” said Ed Grice, Boyne Mountain’s president and general manager. “While many things are different this year, including within our operations, it’s important that we all pull together to make this a safe and enjoyable season. The outdoors are open and we’re excited to kick off this season!”
