SkyBridge Michigan is now open as the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge. Over a year in the works, SkyBridge Michigan made its highly anticipated debut to the public on Saturday, October 15, hosting thousands of guests on opening weekend.

Boyne Mountain Resort officials today announced the appointment of Jason Perl as General Manager.  The announcement was made by Ed Grice, who has served as Boyne Mountain’s President and General Manager for the past 17 years. 

Big plans are underway for northern Michigan ski area, Boyne Mountain Resort, as resort officials today announced Renaissance 2.0, a plan to guide resort growth and development through the year 2030.  Included are national-level attractions, new technology and lift innovations, hotel developments, green initiatives, and more. 

In honor of its 70^th anniversary, Boyne Mountain Resort hosted the 70-Hour Mountain Challenge, January 9-12, spinning lifts for 70 consecutive hours and helping to raise $34,500 for Challenge Mountain.  The event had 200 participants who raised funds and 72 skiers and snowboarders that took to the slopes day and night tracking a whopping 7,257 runs.   

In the winter of 1948/49, a single dollar and 40 acres of land was the beginning of Boyne Mountain Resort, then known as Boyne Ski Club.  Starting with two runs, the first chairlift in the Midwest, and a warming hut, Everett Kircher began a resort and leisure corporation that now spans the continent.
